Project Manager

National Express are recruiting a Project Manager to join us on a fixed term contract (9 months). The role will be based at our Head Office, on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing UK Change projects successfully. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively communicate with stakeholders, and ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery aligned to a robust governance framework.
What you'll do:
- Execute a variety of projects from design and development through to implementation
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project goals and deliverables
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements
- Strategically manage resources and plans project lifecycle deployment
- Plan, schedule, monitor, and reports on overall progress and initiates corrective action, as appropriate, to ensure that project deliverables, milestones and goals are produced on time and within budget
What you'll need:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Change or Excellence, Technology or related field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working as a Project Manager within large scale transformation / change projects
- Strong understanding of agile and waterfall project management methodologies and tools
- Understands the importance of potential Business/ Culture change in relation to driving through the change
